Novel uses of steam accumulation have included a floating facility for testing steam turbines on nuclear submarines, bogey mounted units for vacuum fume extraction on de-coking hoods at a steel mill, and the supply of superheated accumulated steam for the testing of critical components destined for use in the reactor of a nuclear power station.
